   Heliskioops!

Heli accessed ski touring week-ends

With a helicopter for access great ski touring is possible on Vancouver Island without a long slog from the valley taking up most of the week-end. We know of some fine locations outside of Strathcona Park from which a quick (and cost effective) lift will whisk you into the alpine where the fun begins right away. Fly in early Saturday morning and enjoy a full day of exploring and skiing the slopes of the area. Overnight in a camp in the alpine is followed by another full day of skiing. Ultimately a long descent to waiting cars finishes the perfect Island Alps ski touring week-end. Locations include Alexandra Peak, Mount Adrian, Mount Matchlee and few secret locations known to our IAG guides.
