INTRO TO BACKPACKING
This course was designed for beginner- to intermediate-level hikers looking to advance their confidence and competency in the mountains. Over the course of three days, participants will hone their ability to plan, prepare and pursue future adventures ranging from alpine day trips to multi-week expeditions. Along the way, we’ll explore the iconic alpine of Vancouver Island, learning as we go and hiking a peak or two along the way.

Typical trips leave from the Raven Lodge at Mount Washington and explore the area around Paradise Meadows and Forbidden Plateau. From here, we will hike peaks such as Mount Albert Edward, Castlecraig, and Mount Frink.
Note that the exact destination and location will be determined by weather conditions, time of year, your instructor, as well as group desires and needs.
