Risk management is a top priority for us at Island Alpine Guides. All of our guides and instructors are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides and/or the Canadian Avalanche Association. We operate using the best practices outlined by these organizations.
All Island Alpine Guides trips and courses take place in the great outdoors. This means that as a participant you'll be facing risks as part of these trips and courses that include but are not limited to a number of natural hazards as well as the possibility of mistakes being made by guides and instructors. To participate in these activities you'll be required to read and understand our waiver and confirm having read it as part of the registration process. You'll also be required to sign that waiver at the start of the course or trip. In doing so you will waive or give up certain legal rights including the right to sue or to claim compensation following an accident.
