With the use of a helicopter, great ski touring is possible on Vancouver Island without a long slog from the valley taking up most of the trip. We know of some fine locations outside of Strathcona Park from which a quick (and cost-effective) lift will whisk you straight into the alpine where the fun begins right away. Fly in early morning of day one and enjoy a full day of exploring and skiing the slopes of the area. Overnight in an alpine camp is followed by another full day of skiing. A long descent to waiting cars finishes the perfect Island Alps ski tour. Alternatively, use the heli for flights in and out and choose whether to make it a day trip or a longer outing.

Helicopter drop with optional pick-up, group technical gear, harness, transceiver, shovel and probe.

Not included in the price:

Transportation to and from starting point, food, clothing, tents, and personal equipment. We do offer catering on some of our trips for an extra $60/person/day. Please check with our office to see if your trip has this option.
