Ast course

Our Avalanche Skills Field day is either a stand-alone introductory avalanche field course, or part two of our Avalanche Skills Training One course for those who have done our one-day Avalanche Skills Intro and who wish to gain the AST1 certificate. Out on the field, we apply avalanche theory by looking at real avalanche terrain, doing group travel exercises in the terrain, digging snow profiles, using the Avaluator Trip Planner and Slope Assessment Toll, doing scenario-based companion rescue practice, and much more.
